Fidélité

In Fidélité, Salem Ragoug treats Arabic calligraphy as a pictorial medium in its own right. Letters, signs and movements overlap in a rhythmic composition where dominant blues meet touches of yellow, white and deeper tones.

Between abstraction and writing, the work plays on contrasts, repetition and the fluidity of the gesture. A vibrant composition in which the letter transcends language to become form, movement and expression.
