With Le radeau (The Raft), Sandra Veillette depicts a small navigator wearing a helmet, leaning forward and gripping the mast of its driftwood vessel. An outspread butterfly wing serves as a sail and carries the raft toward unknown horizons. A bold, whimsical work that celebrates the taste for adventure.
