Avoir la fibre - Élise Bourgault

Avoir la fibre - Élise Bourgault

Behind Avoir la fibre, we find Élise Bourgault, an emerging artist and graduate of the Maison des métiers d’art de Québec. Her textile work is part of a contemporary, sensitive, and patient approach, where each creation takes shape at the rhythm of slow made.

Inspired by contrasts, textures, and natural or upcycled materials, Élise creates woven wall pieces that bring movement, depth, and warmth to a space. Through the technique of passementerie, cords become lines, patterns, and reliefs, in a delicate interplay between structure and softness.

Her creations, gathered under the project C’est dans mes cordes, are distinguished by their timeless aesthetic and meticulous finish. Modern, soothing, and full of presence, these textile works invite us to slow down and be carried away by the beauty of the gesture.
